Functional Indications
Promote the normal growth and development of female organs and secondary sexual characteristics in female livestock. Causes cervical mucosal cell enlargement and secretion increase, vaginal mucosal thickening, promotes endometrial hyperplasia, and increases uterine smooth muscle tone.
Increase calcium salt deposition in bones, accelerate epiphyseal closure and bone formation, moderately promote protein synthesis, and increase water and sodium retention. In addition, estradiol can also negatively feedback regulate the release of gonadotropins from the anterior pituitary gland, thereby inhibiting lactation, ovulation, and male hormone secretion.
Mainly used for inducing estrus in animals with unclear estrus, as well as for the retention of placenta and the expulsion of stillbirths.
Usage And Dosage
Intramuscular injection: One dose, 5-10ml for horses; 2.5-10ml for cows; 0.5-1.5ml for sheep; 1.5-5ml for pigs; 0.1-0.25ml for dogs.
